Foreword: All I'm attempting to do is run audio files from my computer through Friture to see the 2D spectrogram of them. If there is an easy (not Stereo Mix) way of doing that, I'm all ears.
I've tried using the "Stereo Mix" for loopback, but no troubleshooting will make that work. It is enabled/default with Win 11 mic permissions granted; and the appropriate computer's OEM audio drivers are updated. With that issue, the only audio devices that feed Friture now (that I can tell work) are the hardware microphone devices.
I've gotten Audacity to work on audio loopback [using the Host: "Windows WASAPI," and playback & recording on: "Headphones (Realtek(R) Audio) (loopback)"]. Thing is, that's not a spectrogram, just a decibel graph; and I'd rather not be deleting recorded audio samples after each session anyway.
I specifically like the Friture 2D Spectrogram. It would be absolutely great if Friture could add one of the following options to the input device list:
"Headphones (Realtek(R) Audio) (2 channels) (Windows WASAPI)," or
"Default Playback Device (Realtek(R) Audio) (2 channels) (Windows WASAPI)."
