Fringe-Dwellers,
I assume that by now you've all heard about Pete Seeger's passing, and know how profoundly the world where Fringes dwells was shaped by Pete's life and music. So next week, for our 7th anniversary as a feminist, anti-war, celebrating-where-we-live-and-how-we-make-community community, our service will be singing and singing along and then a little poetry and liturgy and then more singing along.
Pete's decades-long struggle to get the Hudson cleaned up is exactly what I mean when I pray "if not here, then where?", so expect some Golden River. And Otter has a whole list of favorites - Pete was her early inspiration and life-long musical hero.
