It gives a chance for meager amounts of zeny, but I do notice a small difference after a leveling session (or if I get some zeny achievement). I haven't compounded my Tarou card to anything yet but I have had one for a while and have intended to try the combo out (I remember I liked it on Renewal at least for a while).
+1 to Myst Case. I slotted mine with and get a decent amount of GBs. You don't really get anything too exciting but it doesn't hurt to throw in some random loot here and there to add to the end of session sales.
Two other great cards, depending on your class, are Grand Peco, and while not available yet, Vanberk. Though status resistance and elemental resistance cards (like Leaf Cat), are also fantastic if the plan is using the hat for MVPing (not very effective right now, though it's kind of the only viable method for an Assassin).
For money making, I prefer Myst Case. I have probably opened about 100 gift boxes from it, and around 8-10 of those I recall being OBBs, which turned out to be something even better. You are playing the lottery, but it is like getting free lottery tickets every now and then while leveling. A Cramp card is like your grandpa giving you a quarter for mowing the grass.
I have a myst case snake head. Over the period I've collected maybe....400 gift boxes already. To me it's just having the fun of opening the Gift Boxes. Santa Poring cards, Gold, and some small junks are good to sell.

It needs to be nerfed so that it DOESNT steal MAX HP it just steals HP but it can keep the bypassing of shielding effects (meaning it goes through divine shield, immune, etc). That should be the gimmick. Not this overtuned insanity.
Any smart player will only trigger the Excavate on their turn with enough mana to drop the Snake and then copy the Snake which can be as soon as 8/9 Mana. And that is only if they want to play around any counters.
Winning before your opponent wins is not a counter. That is just winning the game. Counters are cards capable of interacting during an in-progress game to prevent or disrupt critical plays from your opponent.
The likelyhood Dirty Rat and Theotar hits both cards (when he revealed he had a second panda, and a celestial projectionist) means that it was an ludicrously slim. So while I cannot guarantee a counter they can virtually guarantee a win because they have 2 copies of Azerite Snake.
Other classes allow you to interact. Such as silences, simply destroying minions, etc. Azerite Snake is the only card whose interactions given to you are limited. Vs decks that dont even require such a thing because their cards dont limit interactions.
