I finally got fed up with trying to repair my clock on my Flair, so I
pulled it out and sent it to Stove Clock Repair in Oklahoma. WOW!
For $99.00 they repaired and rebuilt it, plus gave a one year
warranty. The best part is that I mailed it Priority Mail on the 14th
and got it back to New York in the 24th!! 9 days!!

I reccomend this guy to anyone frustrated with a broken Flair clock.

Steve,
Did you send the entire clock for them to repair? I've had mine apart
a couple of times and the problem seems to be with the gears in the
clock second hand mechanism. The motor runs but the gears are jamming
somewhere along the line.
Can you give contact info for Stove Clock Repair in Oklahoma?
Thanks
Scott

Mark;

I checked my parts books and couldn't find any comparable generic
elements or switches for this range. The open coil broil unit has 2
seperate coils, while the bake has one. Maybe they have been
superseeded by a calrod type unit?
I've seen some really old Frigidaire switches on eBay but I'm not sure
if they are still around. I personally would be concerned about the
quality of the rest of the wiring in a rangethis old.
Maybe check with that antique stove site, cant remember the name. I
think they advertise custom bake and broil units.

Hi Steve,

That's good news! Did they have to replace some parts (like worn gears)?
If I remember well, that's for your '65 Custom Imperial?
Phil
