Congratulations!

You have a great range and it will work good for you.

It has a large 3 prong plug in the back of the stove area, and it is 220Volt, so if you don't have a 220 Volt plug, you will have to have one installed, to be able to get it working. There should be two fuses one on top under the top cover by all the wires for the switches and one down in the pull out elements shelf. Standing in front of the range, pull out the drawer and open up the left rear element, take out the drip pan and use a flash light and you will be able to see the model and serial number on a maufacture plate, get those numbers to us and we can tell you what year and type stove you have, and then off to the right you will see a screw in fuse.

Home Depot will carry a new plug to install on the back of the range if you don't have one attached, the electical schimatics are glued to underside of the top cover, it will show you how its put together if you can read it, otherwise, there are enough of us out here to help you, from coast to coast there are some really great people who can help you in a heart beat. Parts are accessible either from appliance stores to used parts from other owners.

The ranges came in aztec copper, light blue, yellow and white. Home depot seems to carry appliance paint also, and have these colors. Anyway, there are a lot more people out there that will have other suggestions for you, so keep firing away, one of us or all of us will help you the best we can. I always put in a good word for Carol, she is the ultimate in Flair Repair! Good luck to you

Hi!!
Congrats on your 'new' Flair!!:)
well, you'll need the 3 prong 220 volt plug....
here's a couple pics of it:

and the things you need to help with installation:

and, find out what your model number is...that will help
me help you:)
to find the model number, lift up the
left rear burner and remove the support and drip pan.
Than shine a light back in there about 3 inches, you should
see a metal plate bolted down there and your model number
will be on it...it should start with something like: RCI
and have numbers and even maybe more letters behind that...
Like my Flair is a RCIB-645-2
and the one in the garage is a RCI-645-K
also, you can download a few PDFs that can help you:
over on our old site at Obvious there is an owners manual:
On that same site is a Tech Talk manual that will give inner workings info:
and at the link below you can download the complete Tech Talk for a K model:
that has a lot of information that is similar to all the Flairs.
Hoping to be of help!
Carol:)

First of all....... Hello Carol !... Second  a 3 prong in older homes,  a 4 prong in a newer home or modular home  (trailor house )  might be the answer, but all compatible.  Not trying to be a snot but I will help ya all out if I can.  They will all work.  I also have a 30" stainless steel hood that I aquired off a 63 flair that I have totally reconditioned that is like really nice that I have for domeone that needs one ????   Dave.

The  plug that you purchase at your home improvement stores maybe a 4 prong (NEC cod change a few years ago)
Get what will fit in your range outlet A range cord should be  50 amp, Dryer plugs are 30 amps.
Typical the range breaker  is 50 amps at 220 volts ( a double pole breaker) 6 guage wire.
The 4 prong plug just allows for a safety ground wire ( if connecting this that wire will connect to the range cabinet.
