Refinishing oven door swingarms?

Hello-- I am a new owner of a really beautiful Flair Imperial Custom. It works like a champ. However, on the oven swing arms, there is some chipping in what I assume is some type of paint along the door swing arms (See attached photo). 

Does anybody have any advice on how to proceed on fixing this? I am guessing I will have to remove the doors, strip the swingarms and either leave them as bare metal or refinish them with some kind of material, but I don't really know where to begin. Anybody else ever run into this issue?
