Good afternoon everyone--
Partially as a follow-up to my previous post, I've been doing a fair amount of research on the Flairs, particularly on replacement service parts (oven bake & broil elements, stove burners, burner switches, oven thermostats, etc.). From my perusing of eBay, consulting my 1984 Frigidaire Parts Manual, and visiting a variety of other suppliers of appliance parts, I've begun compiling a list of replacement parts and a supersession history to help identify the availability of usable replacement and/or substitution parts, whether new or used.
Before I possibly reinvent the wheel, so to speak, does such a resource already exist within this Group? I certainly don't want to replicate work that has already been done and shared within the Group (I did search the archive and couldn't find anything on this topic). With that said, I will be happy to share the results, and would invite others in this Group to contribute to the effort where there may be gaps in my research that can be filled with the experience I don't yet have.
My goal is to make available to those who need it the information that will help owners of Flairs locate the parts they need-- whether through the good people in this Group, through eBay sellers, through other retailers, etc.-- to be able to keep their Flairs going indefinitely. I found my local appliance store's response of "Uh, we can't help you with parts for something that old..." to be utterly unsatisfactory and unacceptable.
Here is an example of my research:
Let's say you need a Bake element for the small (left) oven on a 1960 through 1963 B-model 640 or 645:
The correct element is 10 ¼” wide by 13 ½” deep, large blade connections (3), 2200 watts. Replacement-parts options (vintage and/or current) include:
Chromalox CH963
Whirlpool CH963 or YCH963 or TS963
Carlton CH963
Gemline CH963
APWagner AP3389275
Emerson 454360
Gemline RP963
Frigidaire 6564694
Frigidaire 7520991
Frigidaire 7521900
Frigidaire 7521905
Frigidaire 9950925 (or 5309950925)
Though hard to find, these elements can be had from people in this Group, random eBay listings, and even some online retailers. But with the information above, we can better armed to find the parts we need. (Again, the above was just a single example)
As I say, please let me know if this resource already exists (and if so, where it is). And if this resource doesn't yet exist, I welcome input and also suggestions on where best to put this information other than just a series of postings.
Thanks, and best regards,
Christopher Burns

Hi Bill, If you don't find one anywhere else, I have 3 CH978 bake elements left here. 'Can let one go for $20 plus shipping. If you email me your zip code off-list, I can give you a total. I'm trying to retire ;-), and have been working on selling off my remaining parts inventory. 'Been making some progress, but still have a decent number of vintage bake elements left. 'Even have some of the older vertical blade plugin bake elements (RP963, 961)
for the Flairs left. Don't know why I've kept them all for so long... Hope that's helpful. Let me know. Remove the knob for temperature setting. Inside that hollow shaft is the adjustment screw. You'll need a jewelers screwdriver. Pretty sure it's a flathead.
