Determining The Age Of Your Frigidaire Flair

This is copied from SteveD's post on how to determine

the age of your Frigidaire Flair:

It would be helpful to find the correct model number for any
questions about your Flair.
GM Frigidaire model numbers were fairly easy to
decipher, and go something like ?RCI-635-J? which is my(SteveDs) range.
That translates as follows:
R - designated ?Range? in the product line.
CI - for Custom Imperial features?.. could also be CD for Custom
Deluxe and D for Deluxe, but one or the other.
This would correspond to the printing on the control panel.Again, can be one or the other.
B, B-2, F, H, J, K, L, N designate the model year.
B was for 1960-61, the first year of the Flair.
This morphed into B-2, for 1962, with only minor changes.
F was a 1963 model, but I think only for a Deluxe 30? model.
H was for the 1964 model year,
J for 1965,
K for 1966,
L for 1967 and
N for 1968, the last year for the Flair.
And anything with a V or EH indicated a vent hood.
Take a closer look on the model plate if you can,
unfortunately, the printed model number
wore off on many ranges.

hope this helps!

A post from several years ago, had a link to a chart which supposedly showed all the models of Flair by year. But that link is now dead. Does anyone else have such a treasure? There seems to be such a plethora of models..... such as listings of RCI#### and RCIB#### etc. My model is a RCI 645 J, but I know there is a "K" type, instead of "J". What is the difference? HELP?!?!?!?!

Carol I have not seen my model number in any of the post that I have seen since joining the flair group. My unit is a double over only, model RBG 345K, serial # 57099111. We bought this house in 1980 and the flair was in it then. We have certainly enjoyed the beauty and efficiency of this oven. About 1 year ago, the top burner in the smaller oven burned out.  I had an electrician remove the burner and protect the wires so we could continue to use the oven, which we have. But I am still looking for a burner for the little oven. Any suggestions?:

Hi Max,
Yes, I have the K series Tech Talk. Your wall oven is from 1966.
The upper broiler heating element
original part number is 6564823
at 236 volt
Maybe someone in the group knows if the small oven heating elements
from a stand alone Flair will fit/work in the wall units??
Anyone??
My scanner isn't willing to work right now.
As soon as I get that up and running, I'll scan the
K-Line tech talk for wall ovens for you and the group.
Hoping to be of help,
Carol
I sit corrected, my scanner decided to load, here are a few info pages:

Hi Max,
If you can determine that your K model uses the same as the freestanding models, I have a a couple. Let me know.

Hi Max and David and All,
I looked up the part for the stand alone Flair and the part
numbers match for the small oven.
Hope this helps,
Carol :)
