Hello everyone-

I am in need of a thermostat for the small oven and a broiler element
for the small oven. If anyone has these parts please contact me here
or at my email of mha...@lmnc.org. If there is anything else I need
to supply information wise please let me know. It’s a Custom Imperial
RCIB-645, and I don’t know any part numbers, but I could get them if
needed and told where to look. My repair guy said the thermostats for
both ovens looks the same, but I am not sure. If anyone can answer
this for sure let me know.

I appreciate all of your help :)

Thanks
Matt

Matt,

I may be able to help you out with your small oven needs. I recently picked up a spare 40 inch Flair for parts and it has the small broiler element and both thermostats intact. (Both ovens on my unit used the same model thermostat.) I'll check them out soon to see how well they work. The only problem is that the unit is stored up in Wisconsin about 200 miles from my home and I won't be able to get there for a week or two.

Speaking of thermostats, I just completed an adjustment of my operating Flair (a single-oven Custom Imperial from 1963) over the weekend against one of those high end Taylor oven thermometers. Boy was I impressed. After a little tweaking, I got the Flair oven in perfect sync with the Taylor thermometer - within 1 degree (avg temp) across across the entire range from 150 to 500. What precision in a 46 year old oven! No wonder the Flair has such a following.

Endless thanks to Carol, Steve, Mark and countless others for the information they've shared on this site. I've only been a member for a few months, but within that time I've gathered invaluable new insights into the fabulous Flair.

Chicago John.

et me know, how much and where you are picking them up from. I have a
bunch of famil in WI and we might be able to avoid shipping. I also
sent an email to you directly and you can do the same if you like

Appreciate any help also with parts for my much loved RCIB-645. Broiler in large oven does not work, but I can still bake cookies! I believe I need a new thermostat and possibly broiler element - just in case it's that. Thanks, Matilda
