🧹 Cleanup reminder: we'll be cleaning the street as usual this Saturday, 9am. Meet in front of 403 St Johns Pl.

🌱 Two updates from Friends of St. Johns Place: 

1. Save the date. Friends of St. Johns Place Planting Day is October 3rd, from 9am to 1pm. We are celebrating City of Forest Day and planting around 2,000 daffodil bulbs along St. Johns Place between Underhill and Washington Avenues. The bulbs come from the Daffodil Project, a living 9/11 memorial and citywide volunteer effort. No experience necessary, just come ready to dig in, and bring gloves and tools if you have them but we will also provide them. We hope to cover all our tree beds, so the more of you who join, the more ground we can cover. Details and sign up at https://friends-of-st-johns-pl.github.io/#st-johns-plants-2026. 

2. In other news, this past Monday, we donated the Belgian blocks we dug out of our tree beds back in July to P.S. 9 for their Fences of Abundance and Brooklyn Rewilders garden project. They will line the garden beds for the kids to enjoy for years to come. Thank you to everyone who helped make it happen, and a special shoutout to our friends @bjhgardenclub for coming out too.
