Hi everyone,
First off—THANK YOU! This past weekend’s massive tree restoration project was an incredible success. Together, we made serious headway on caring for our street tree beds, laid down fresh compost and mulch, and learned during our official training with NYC Parks.
But we aren't completely across the finish line yet! We are finishing up next Saturday and hosting a celebration day next weekend.
Here are the details for our final push:
🗓️ When: Saturday, July 18th, 2026
📍 Where: St. Johns Pl, between Underhill and Washington Ave. Details to be sent soon.
🧹 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM: Final Street Tree Care! No experience is needed, and all tools and gloves are provided.
🎨 12:00 PM: Fairy House Making, Sign Making, and Lunch! We’re hosting a backyard neighborhood hangout and crafting session. We’ll be building fairy houses (all ages welcome!) and painting "Curb Your Dog" signs to keep our newly restored beds protected.
🍕 The Food: We'll be hanging out over pizza! We are asking for a $5–$30 sliding scale donation to cover the lunch and crafting supplies, with all extra proceeds going right back into future greening materials for our block.
Best,
Rabia
