Under pressure from City Council president Susan Albright, the Newton Free Library director would not allow this event to happen as advertised, so event organizers were forced to make alternative arrangements.
Councilors Pam Wright and John Oliver will now present and answer questions on Zoom, starting at 8:00pm to give people who show up at the Library enough time to get home and tune in.

It’s too bad last night's live informational event at the library was canceled, as very few residents know about “up-zoning”.
I
did find this video of an event in Newton where residents did a Q&A
with residents from Seattle who have already gone through the
“up-zoning” process.
It would be great if we could arrange similar events with other cities that have gone through the “UP-Zoning” process.
