Gordon Chaffin is hosting a kick-off meeting for the Friends of the MBT, a community group that will support the maintenance, inclusiveness, & activation of D.C.'s Metropolitan Branch Trail (the "MBT"). Join the public Friends of MBT Google Group — groups.google.com/g/friendsofmbt — and follow on Twitter — https://twitter.com/MetBranchTrail. Concept Design for the MBT's Takoma, D.C. Section On December 7, 2021, DDOT hosted a virtual meeting to discuss the concept designs for the MBT section that will run from Blair Rd NW to Piney Branch Rd NW, via downtown Takoma. Review the presentation slides, video recording, and transcribed chat from that meeting. DDOT plans to host a public meeting in May/June 2022 to share the results of public comments on these concepts and what alternatives they're focusing on with the detailed design. Gordon asks that you join him to write and support joint comments as a Friends of MBT group.
