Friends:

Hong Kong Journalist association is demonstrating this coming Sat.  This maybe a good time to issue our statement and show support.  Could someone help to draft a Chinese and English statement.  In addition to our support in words, and hopefully in action by FoLXB members in Hong Kong, here are some thoughts:

1 之友会可能参与的抗议行动
2 我们可以就保安公司肇事者提出自己的追究主张和行动计划
--- 公布恶人榜
--- 法人冯伦（待核实）需道歉及其他实质表示，否则运作拒绝入港、入美
3 推动下一波刘霞探访 （待准备情况而定）

3.16「捍衛新聞自由 嚴懲暴力黑手」遊行

2013年3月8日，香港多名新聞工作者在採訪期間遭遇暴力襲擊。有電視台攝影師更被圍毆受傷。近年，無論在大陸或香港，接二連三發生毆打記者的事件。襲擊記者歪風湧現，案情一次比一次嚴重，記者人身安全面臨威脅，已達忍無可忍地步。 新聞工作者組織，包括香港記者協會和香港攝影記者協會現發起遊行，呼籲新聞工作者及所有珍惜新聞自由的香港市民踴躍參加是次遊行，嚴正要求香港政府和中央政府不能縱容惡行，確保新聞工作者的人身安全，務必將行兇者繩之以法，並施以具阻嚇性的懲罰。遊行內容詳情如下：   日期：3月16日 (周六) 時間：下午二時半 路線：西區警署先集會，再圍繞中聯辦(經西邊街、干諾道西、朝光街、德輔道西)遊行三個圈，最後在中聯辦干諾道西集會 http://www.hkja.org.hk/site/portal/Site.aspx?id=A1-1058&lang=en-US March 16 - “Stop the Violence Against Journalists” March   Journalists’ unions are to organise a demonstration to express its anger over the violent attack on Hong Kong journalists in Beijing last week. Two journalists were assaulted by unidentified men while covering an attempt by an activist to visit Madam Liu Xia, wife of jailed Nobel Laureate Liu Xiaobo. One of them was pushed to the ground and kicked by five plainclothes men. There have been six recorded instances of assault on Hong Kong journalists in Mainland China over the past six years. None of the Mainland and Hong Kong authorities have acted on any of these incidents. Now, the profession is witnessing an increase in violence which is absolutely unacceptable. The Hong Kong Journalists Association and the Hong Kong Press Photographers Association call on members of the press and the public to join their protest march to the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the Hong Kong S.A.R. to demand a thorough investigation into the assault. As I need to organize another event for the Independent Chinese PEN Centre on that day, I can't attend the march organized by the HKJA. Hope that other HK members in this group can join the action. As to the statement, I think we need to list out several major demands, so that we can make our statement more unique.
