I'm forwarding this mail from steeba to this group.

Dear friends,

I'm writing this email by the request of and on behalf of Nissidhi's husband Rajesh.

Our Nissi was in hospital care for a week and passed away on Tuesday the 17th at 11:55pm.

She was conscious and able to talk until Tuesday morning with Rajesh and her children.

Nissi's memorial service and funeral is being arranged to take place in USA on Sunday the 22nd morning between 9am and 11am.  Rajesh said he will confirm the location to us by tomorrow evening.

Rajesh also said if our classmates in USA are able to attend the funeral, they could say a few words about their life and friendship with Nissi at the memorial service.

I will send you all another email with the location details as soon as I get that information from Rajesh.

I'm heart broken and grieving along with you by the loss of our Nissi.

Dear Friends

Shocked is the only word that can explain my feelings right now. Had seen Nissidhi's update on facebook on 15'th and as requested by her had reposted her status. But never knew the pain that prompted her to write the same. I am reposting her FB status which she posted on 15'th of April, 2012 here:

All of us have a thousand wishes. To be thinner, to be bigger, have more money, have a cool car, a day off, a new phone, to date the person of your dreams. A cancer patient only has one wish, to kick cancer's ass. I know that 97% of you won't post this as your status, but my friends will be the 3% that do. In honor of someone who died, or is fighting cancer, or even had cancer, post this for at least one hour.

May her soul rest in peace
