Kimbell Park meeting with Sup. London Breed

Dear Friends of Kimbell Park,

I would like to invite you to a Friends of Kimbell Park meeting with our district supervisor, London Breed.  The purpose of the meeting is to discuss the pedestrian overpass at Steiner over Geary.  The park group has many concerns because at both entry points there is an ever-present mess and issues with people living there.  We want to problem solve with the supervisor on how to make our park and rec center safe and clean for ALL members of the community with the smallest financial impact. 

The details (Place and exact time) have yet to be determined but will be sent when they are worked out.  The meeting will be JUNE 20 and we look forward to seeing you.

We will have a Community Meeting this Thursday, June 20, 6:30 at Hamilton Rec Center.

Unfortunately, Supervisor Breed cancelled again and we decided to continue with the meeting.  Hopefully her aide, Vallie Brown, will still invite Bevan Duffy and Captain Corrales to help come up with solutions on how to deal with the Pedestrian Bridge at Geary and Steiner. 

Agenda:

6:30-6:40:  Review of the Park Bond Project

6:40-7:00:  Discuss Problems concerning the Bridge

7:00-7:20:  Discussion of Solutions to the problems to present to the supervisor's office. 

7:20-7:30:  Next steps and plans to advocate for our park, neighborhood and solutions. 

I encourage you to invite anyone in your condo association, neighbors, and other interested parties.  Also please email our supervisor's office to express your disappointment in her not being able to come to the meeting:

Hello, 

Supervisor Breed did not choose to cancel the meeting. She is on the Budget & Finance Committee & we're in the last few weeks of the City budget.

It was decided by the Budget Chair, Supervisor Farrell to split the Budget & Finance meeting on THURS. she'll be in Budget until late in the evening. Ourr office found out late last week about the change & I notified Callen immediately about the situation.

As I told Callen, I can attend the meeting & asked her to send me the agenda to make sure I had all the correct depts. at the meeting.
