The neighbors of Kimball Field are more than tired with the homeless residing in
the park. I just came home from the YMCA and talked with two men from DPW who
were cleaning up under the round part of the overpass at the southwest corner of
Geary and Steiner. They have been reporting there daily under orders from
their boss who has been rousting a man who continues to move into the enclosed
space where he defecates and urinates nightly. I was told that he also keeps
rats there. People have been talking about having this overpass removed as it
is no longer necessary due to a cross walk installed. What can you do to get
the overpass removed?
