Crosswalk, Steiner/Ellis

Hello,

I am writing to both police stations because I am not sure which has jurisdiction over the crosswalk across Steiner Street at Ellis.  This crosswalk is clearly marked with big yellow signs and borders a busy park and playing field.  Yet, as I use this crosswalk multiple times each day, I find that people are very reluctant to stop for pedestrians, even when I take a couple of steps out and wave to get drivers' attention.

Steiner Street  intersections between Geary and Eddy are crossing points for residents, students at several schools within a block of the street, and park users.  Some of the kids' teams that play at Kimbell Field store their equipment in one of the Fillmore Center storage rooms and must cross Steiner.  Would it be possible to get a little surveillance of this dangerous intersection?  Thank you very much!

Thanks, Vallie,  I got especially irate when a driver glanced over to where I was waiting to cross and then sped up.  Hardly anyone stops there.
