Hello everyone,

Dr. Marshall Rosenberg, the founder of Nonviolent Communication, passed away on Saturday, February 7, 2015 in his home in Albuquerque, NM surrounded by his wife and family members.

Marshall impacted the lives of tens of thousands of people directly, and millions indirectly, by offering a cohesive approach to creating peace in the world... peace within, peace with others and peace in the world.

As many of you know, Marshall visited Columbus on two occasions to lead trainings -- March 2006 and January 2007 -- and his visits served as a catalyst for the creation of the Compassionate Communication Center of Ohio (CCCO).

Although these trainings took place before I moved to Columbus in June 2009 to become CCCO's Executive Director, I attended both of those trainings and was among several hundred people who attended one or both trainings.

My most vivid memory is, at the end of his first visit, when he said:  "I'm never coming back to Columbus... because I'm never leaving!"

I plan to create a page on our website soon where people can post their memories and appreciations for Marshall.

Sincerely, Jeff
