Hi Friends of CCCO,

On behalf of our Board of Trustees and planning team*, we are looking forward to our 3rd annual CCCO Fun-Raiser in about 11 days -- Saturday, October 25, 2014.

[* The planning team includes Linda O'Connor, Karla Wright, Pat De Silva, Tom Carlisi and me]

I created an announcement here:

This is a great opportunity to invite friends or family to check out our organization in an informal setting, and also to generate support for our work in the community... not to mention it's our biggest social gathering of the year!

I wonder if each of you would be willing to invite a few friends and/or family members to the event?

If so, I have included a sample email below that you can use or modify as you see fit... but it's something to get your wheels turning on spreading the word.

Would you be open to forwarding this sometime in the next 2-3 days?  Let me know if there's anything that I can do to help, and thanks in advance for your support!

BODY OF YOUR EMAIL MESSAGE:

Hi _______,

I invite you to join me for the 3rd annual Fun-Raiser for a nonprofit organization that I am involved with that happens on Saturday, October 25, 2014.

It's for the Compassionate Communication Center of Ohio, which helps people to connect across differences in gender, age, race, sexual orientation, religion and political beliefs, and to experience their common humanity and to create peace in their communities.

I'll be there and it would be fun to have you there, too!  It's an all-ages events that includes food, music, a presentation by the organization's leaders, a celebration of peacemaking accomplishments, children's games and adult activities and meeting people who care about peacemaking in our community.

You can see more details here:

You can learn more about the organization here:

It's free to attend so join us!  We ask that people bring a potluck dish to share and we'll also have various ways to contribute to the organization's mission including silent auction, 50/50 drawing or simply make a donation in an amount of your choice.

Let me know if you have any questions, or if you would like to hear more about what the event will be like.

Thanks and I hope to see you there!

Sincerely,
_________

Sincerely, Jeff
