During the nature walk, Dr. Buchanan will guide a group of participants
along the trails surrounding the Moyer Nature Center. Participants will
look for flowering trees and shrubs like maples, elms, aspens, and
spicebush as well as early spring ephemeral wildflowers like Virginia
spring beauty, harbinger-of-spring, and wild violets.
This event is open to all, including students, faculty, staff, and all
other community members. Students in attendance are eligible to receive
Arts and Lecture credit for attending, up to a maximum of one time. This
event will be held several times over a one-week timespan so that a
broader audience can attend. The dates of the event are:
Tuesday, March 18 at 4:00-5:00 pm
Wednesday, March 19 at 4:00-5:00 pm
Saturday, March 22 at 10:00-11:00 am
Sunday, March 23 at 4:00-5:00 pm
