Evening Nature Walks

Join Dr. Jacob Buchanan to learn about dusk- and night-active wildlife. Expect to see fireflies, moths, bats, rabbits, deer, and more. Meet at the Moyer Nature Center. You are welcome to bring a flashlight or headlamp.

Summer Wildflowers Nature Walks

Walk with Dr. Jacob Buchanan in observing and identifying the variety of summer wildflowers in the preserve. Learn more about native plants and the insects and wildlife that they support. Meet at the Moyer Nature Center.

Removing Invasive Shrubs

Join the Friends of the Bluffton Nature Preserve group and Dr. Jacob Buchanan in removing invasive shrubs like autumn olive, bush honeysuckle, privet, and multiflora rose. Gain hands on experience while helping control these invasive species in the nature preserve. No experience needed. Equipment and gloves are available to borrow. Meet at the Moyer Nature Center, second and fourth Fridays.
