The University of Florida's Dr. Mark Hostetler will share strategies to engage policy makers, planners, built environment professionals and citizens to create functioning green communities, including the importance of addressing decisions made during the design, construction and post-construction phases of new subdivision development. Watershed Planning:  Lessons Learned from Florida's Springs During this broadcast from 1000 Friends' September 18 webinar, former director of the Florida Springs Task Force Jim Stevenson and Howard T. Odum Florida Springs Institute director Bob Knight spoke on challenges facing Florida's springs, workable planning strategies to address those challenges, and how springshed planning approaches can applied to other watersheds throughout Florida.  The presentation included case studies on Wakulla and Rainbow Springs.  Approved for 1.5 AICP CM - #24448.  1000 Friends also has applied for CLE credits for this event.
