On Thursday, February 25th FOBB will hold its meeting at the Main Library from 6:00-7:00 in Meeting Room A. 

Beginning at 7:00 Jim Mallory of the Lewis and Clark Trust will give a talk regarding how the Lewis and Clark Expedition impacted the United States and the world.

·         Treasurer’s report

·         Donation to Rabbit Hash Historical Society to support the rebuilding of the General Store

·         Introduction of board members and officers

·         Update on FOBB’s social media: Facebook page Harlan’s page, and web site

·         Results of the Project Committee’s meeting at BBLSHS on Friday, February 12th

1.      Money to be spent on Phase 2- $41,000

2.      Exhibit Team from CMC will work on a scaled back addition to the wall mural with the addition of the bison antiquus, and audio/visual equipment (depending on what park personnel need) will be purchased

3.      The team will begin in early May and finish in late May/early June 2016

·         Board will meet in March

·         The next FOBB meeting/program will be April 21st and the presentation will be given by Dr. Brenda Hunda from CMC on The Science of History: Big Bone Lick’s Role in Changing How We See the World

1.      Saturday, March 19th- NKU Regional History Day. Pat Gilliland is chairman, but volunteers are still needed

2.      May (date will be announced)- Geier Center Dinner. Members are invited, but the emphasis this year will be to introduce the new Ky. Parks Commissioner and Secretary of Tourism to the historical/prehistorical significance of BBL

3.      Fossil Project- June 3-5- Volunteers needed June 4th at the Geier Center. FOBB will help Dr. Glenn Storrs to provide an additional walk and talk at the BBP on June 2nd

·         Discussion about the money needed to complete The Revitalization Project for the Visitor’s Center

·         Fundraising

1.      Bourbon-tasting event?
