This email is a reminder of an exciting meeting and program this Thursday, April 30th. The meeting will begin at 6:00 in Room A at the Main Library. Since there are many interesting programs sponsored by FOBB and others created by Ossana Wolfe, BBL’s program director, it would be worth it to attend the meeting. Find out about the Geier Center Dinner- May 21st, the Open House- June 11th, program and concert celebrating Mary Ingles’ escape from the Shawnee 260 years ago- July 18th, and the Discovery Days at BBL. Meet Harlan G. Sloth and learn about the ongoing IndieGogo fund-raising campaign till May 31st and how FOBB is raising funds to meet the R. C. Durr Foundation $70,000 challenge. For every dollar we make, the Foundation will match it dollar for dollar.

The program- Monument of Natural Design: A Restoration of Big Bone Lick- will begin at 7:00. Join Dave Geohegan of the Boone Conservancy, Mark Jacobs of the Conservation District, and Vic Vanover of NKU’s environmental program as they give an interesting overview of what is taking place at the Piner Property (recent 200 acre addition to BBL) and plans to restore some of the wetlands within the park proper and much more.

We have 20 members, and so I hope to see all of you. Find out about the buzz going on at the park and the challenge FOBB is undertaking.
