Dear Friends,

Our volunteer Sara Tiffany (sponsored by the America India Foundation) has gone through a rigorous process of applying for an online donation campaign through the `Global Giving Challenge’. We have now reached the stage where we have passed the criteria needed for a due diligence and our health project for reducing Infant and Maternal Mortality in rural Uttarakhand has been approved to be put up on their page. I am attaching the basic information on the project for your perusal.

Out `Challenge’ now is to raise USD 4,000/- (approx INR 200,000/-) in one month, ie the month of April, from 50 different donors. In effect this works out to USD 80/- or INR 4,000 on an average per donor. Do you think we could use our network or regular donors to assist with this as part of their annual contribution to Aarohi?

After we clear this challenge, our visibility on the site is more, exposing us to the world of online donation.

This is the first time we have undertaken such a mode of fundraising.

I look forward to your suggestions. Do please check out the site and let us have your honest feedback.

With thanks for your time and effort.

Warmly,

Sushil

Hi Sushil

Maybe you can mail the link round directly in an email, because it's not really obvious where to look for it......

A (hopefully) helpful suggestion :)

Dear friends,

Have pasted the link to access the site for donation below. There was a suggestion that the way to donate was not so obvious in my mail. Apologies for that. For those interested and for passing it on to your friends, please use the link below and you need to donate through the global giving site and not through the Aarohi site.

We are very touched by the immediate donations of USD 100 each  from Prof Rishikesha Krishnan of IIM, Bangalore and another friend who wishes to remain anonymous.

Thanks once again for your time and concern.

Warmly,

Sushil
