I wanted to point out another accident that happened on Comm Ave, this
time involving an MBTA bus (pretty freaking scary!). This is the
second reported accident this week, yet I know of two others that were
minor accidents but still occurred on Comm Ave this week.

There's an online response to this article by a driver mentioning she
almost hit a biker who was going the wrong way down the bike lanes.
Also, my friend, a biker, was hit yesterday by another biker going the
wrong way down these lanes. It seems, and is pointed out in the
response, that both bikers and cars don't know how to navigate these
lanes safely, so what we should focus on first is education.
Something like "Hey, there are bike lanes here. And this is how you
use them without endangering yourself and others."
A meeting for the BU Bikes is scheduled for next week, most likely
Tuesday at 8 pm, but we will post the time/date when we can confirm.
Please come, and if that time doesn't work, please suggest another -
we're open to changes.
best,
-mook.
