> Thank you to the 50+ friends, neighbors, kids and officials who attended yesterday’s meeting. A lot of information was shared and below are the main highlights:
> • DPR to install additional camera(s) on the basketball court to provide better coverage and help deter criminal activity.
> • MPD has agreed to continue community policing efforts in and around Hamilton Park. Neighbors requested that officers spend more time at the park getting to know the kids and parents.
> • Calls for service are very important, even if MPD cannot respond immediately. When illegal activity is seen please call 911 to report the activity to MPD. The calls are reviewed on a regular basis and help MPD determine if additional resources are needed.
> • Meeting organizers will work with DPW/MPD/Councilmember to address the illegal parking of cars in the ally.
> • Thank you to DPR for your for ensuring that Channce Allen will remain and is back at Hamilton. We missed him over the summer and are happy to have consistent park oversight.
