two other meetings today

they were brief and i am in my email so i am sending a quick email before i jump on a call.


at 1 i met with harrison

we will have an early beginning draft of the handbook shared with the group by next weekend.
harrison will not be going on the december trip but is still coordinating efforts
we have 8 confirmed right now with 4 unconfirmed yeses and a couple of maybes


at 4 i met with hope who was on the august trip

she has offered to do some updating on the website and will be sending to me a summary of our meeting with a mock-up of what she would like to do to the site.
the site is key to branding and a spruced up site will lead to increased donations. we clearly do not have enough time in the day so if she can do this it would be great.

Mike,
Thanks for the updates and keeping us all in the loop.
It would be very helpful if you used the form I created for meeting reports.
If you think these meetings don't constitute a report (not enough content, no future leads, no next steps), then I appreciate the quick note but would ask that each update has it's own email and each email heading be titled in the subject heading so that it's easily identifiable.
It may seem like a lot to ask but it's getting harder to sludge through our emails...especially when there are so many that are used as discussions and get clumped in conversation threads that are not always relevant to what's being discussed in the email.
Let's all be very mindful of this as we continue to use email for much of our communication.

Are you using any other trip specialist/past trip attendees/past trip organizers to review the handbook and give Harrison feedback?

As for the December trip:
When do you need your unconfirmed yeses and couple of maybes to make decisions?

Hello again,
So we've had a couple of offers on updating our website...and although I agree we need to stay fresh, I think it's important to address other priorities.  Plus, let's get Mo's voice on this.
I've had offers from Shelly for quite some time.  I believe our very affordable website has lots of restrictions and we can not become a designer's project.
If I understand correctly, we need help with content and editing...so someone who may be comfortable with writing and creating quick pages for trips or even our newsletter.
That is not a strength for Shelly, she's a designer.  It sounds like Hope is offering designer assistance as well...I appreciate it very much but I feel like we need more help with data and editing.
Mo, please provide your input here.

as you can see i used the google doc for the ewb meeting but the other two meetings were more brief updates and i did not think they necessitated an official report. 

i figured lumping the two into one email made more sense as people say they get inundated with emails.

a new thread was started and the subject was clear and relevant.

in the future i can separate it out one email per if a full report is not necessary.

I think that other priorities clearly are ahead of this. 

hope is willing to work on content and editing and she is going to have a lot of time over the next 6 months or so and said she could seek someone out to follow behind her.
