Statement on the primary election (email typo corrected)

Thank you for every single vote.  We did it.

We proved a handful of doubters all wrong, 66% of the votes in a three way race is a huge signal to those doubters and to the incumbent delegate.

I have said recently in a forum sponsored by the HOA Roundtable I am thankful to Sahar Smith for running her campaign.  I know now from first hand experience this is not easy and I fully appreciate her bravery, it inspires others to follow her lead.  Xanthe Larsen also deserves thanks, she accepted the invitation to run and how her campaign was managed in the home stretch taught me a lot.

Exceptionally qualified candidates and votes win elections, but in the last general election for this office $3.6M ( https://www.vpap.org/offices/house-of-delegates-21/elections/?year_and_type=2023regular  ) was spent on political ads  between the two candidates including outside groups.  I think that is not necessary and I certainly don't intend to spend my campaign money like that.
