  • What’s Virginia’s biggest problem right now and how would you try to solve it if re-elected in November?

I am running for delegate in Virginia House District 21 and solving HD21 problems comes first.  Many issues are present across Virginia but solutions are not going to be the same everywhere.  Data center sprawl is the biggest HD21 issue.  Broken revenue promises, hidden costs, negative quality of life impacts, and environmental issues surround data center sprawl.  I will work to give localities the tools they need to mitigate these related issues.  Some areas of Virginia don’t see data centers as a problem, yet.  Those other areas will never support curbing the sprawl regardless of which party controls Richmond.

  • Have you taken, or will you take, campaign contributions from data center interests or Dominion Energy (either directly or indirectly through other candidates or PACS) and if yes, why?

All I need to win is more votes than the incumbent on November 4, 2025. Votes come from informed voters and getting my message out is where the costs are involved.  I have not accepted any donation other than from the Republican Committee in Richmond that exceeds $1500 which came from another delegate.  I have not researched where he gets his funding from.  I do not anticipate any donations from data center interests, or Dominion Energy, if one does arrive by some fluke, I’ll return it.  I’m not for sale and that includes donations from any donor.

  • Why are you the best candidate in your race?

I have tried, and accomplished, a lot in the 25 years I’ve lived in the district, including this run for office.  I start with a problem, try to solve it with unique brave ideas, and I don’t quit.  See my introductory letter to primary voters at VoteGorham.com.  What I have accomplished is a good indicator of what I can accomplish when elected.  I won my primary with more than 66% of the vote.  I recognize solutions need to evolve and so far, there has been no indication any adjustments have or will take place if we reelect the incumbent.
