I just finished updating the foycsr googlegroups page.

Thank you all for your generous support of time, effort, and financial support through donations, merchandise sales, and annual memberships.

For those of you who haven't heard, FOYCSR has been offered Yards Creek Scout Reservation, as Central NJ Council has announced it will fold due to financial reasons.  CNJC will remain a viable entity until the sale of KMSR has gone through, and it covers all it's financial obligations.

Anthony and Doug are working diligently to get an audience with the power company so they can present our proposal.  I'm confident they will approve our offer to take over the camp.

In the mean time, we are working on expanding our trustees, and more clearly defining our specific roles so we can efficiently sustain Yards Creek for years to come.

What can you do?

• Talk to your friends and neighbors about our cause. There is a rich history of the camp, and many who are willing to support us with labor, ideas, suggestions, equipment and financial support

Marcia,

Right now we are waiting for FirstEnergy to comment on or approve our proposal for the camp property. They indicated we would hear something by the end of this month.

I'll keep you posted as things happen.
