Gentlemen,
We are clearing and trail cutting for the New Flow Trail this Sunday at 9AM, meeting at Six Shooter. You don’t have a chain saw to help. We really don’t often ask for much help now as most all the core trail building has been completed with over 3,000 hours of volunteer time recorded - many of you contributed. This last piece, which also may be the most exciting and complex trail attempted thus far, needs to be quickly cleared so Andy and team can begin their work without delay. If you can’t come out, consider donating funds to help cover the expenses associated building this new trail estimated at $12,000.
I always view these times as a way to give back to SAU for being so kind to lend us their land to ride/run/hike on. Equally important is that it takes away the guilt associated with letting a few folks do and pay for the work that each of us personally benefits from each time we use the trails. (You are hearing my “anti-entitlement” bias coming out) We’re looking forward to seeing those of you who are available on Sunday morning, and feel free to bring others who may want to give a couple hours of their time to complete this half day project. Thanks for your consideration of helping out on this project.
