Celebrate National Park & Recreation Month with SF Rec and Park

Celebrate National Park & Recreation Month with SF Rec and Park, featuring special events, contests, weekly giveaways, news and highlights throughout the month of July. Like us on Facebook or follow us on Twitter to stay up to date on our latest news!
Rec and Park "Quilt" Video: You're the Fabric of Our Parks This week, we're asking you, our park users, to be a part of our first ever "quilt" video. Send us a 10-second (or less) clip of you in our parks and we'll "stitch" all of the videos we receive into a larger video montage, much like a patchwork quilt. We'll premiere the finished product at the end of the month in our newsletter, on our web page and on our social media pages (Facebook, Twitter and YouTube). And, we'll showcase it at an upcoming Rec and Park Commission meeting.
Here's how to include your video in this exciting
project:
1) Go out to your favorite San Francisco park and take a short video of you and your friends/family saying our catch phrase, "Get Out and Play!"
2) The video should be no more than ten seconds long.
3) Send the video file (.MOV, .WMV, .MPG and most common video types) via email to jamie....@sfgov.org.
4) Please include the following information in your
email: - Names of people appearing in the video
- Where the video was shot
- Contact information
5) Deadline for submissions is Tuesday, July 24 at 5 p.m.
Disclaimer: By submitting your video to us, you grant the San Francisco Recreation and Park Department the right to print, publish, broadcast, and use in any manner it deems appropriate on its websites, publications, campaigns or in any manner chosen, worldwide, in any media now known or hereafter developed, including, without limitation, the World Wide Web, at any time or times, the participant's name, video images and any language contained therein, for public information without additional consideration or compensation. The San Francisco Recreation and Park Department may edit or alter the videos in any manner they see fit. Parties submitting photos/videos further release the San Francisco Recreation and Park Department and the City and County of San Francisco from any and all liability, claims, or damages arising out of or
relating to the participant's submission. All videos submitted become the property of the San Francisco Recreation and Park Department and will not be returned.
