I have finally tracked down the official location of The Mortimer Levitt Foundation.
It is NOT Los Angeles or Pasadena. And it is NOT Norfolk, Virginia either.
It is a family foundation, the President of which resides in NY (and a member of Mortimer's original family), and all records and official documents are filed using a NJ office address.
if anyone else is talking to the press, writing emails, or mentioning in meetings, let's please all use this info below.
In summary, this is a NYC based nonprofit. Mortimer Levitt Foundation puts up all the funds for the Pavilion projects and continued giving to the "Friends of ... " organizations associated with each new pavilion. The Pavilion "Build Up, Get Down" Campaign (the arm that handles the venues and performance programming) maintains an office and staff in Los Angeles. . All of the LP operating funds come from Levitt Foundation in NY/NJ.

Carlin

Excerpted from their 2012 Press Release:
LOS ANGELES – June 1, 2012 – For the first time ever, Levitt Pavilions, a national
nonprofit that enhances the quality of life in American cities by transforming neglected
public spaces into welcoming music destinations, is inviting cities to Build Up, Get
Down. This historic campaign invites civic leaders, engaged citizens and major
corporations across the nation to join forces and build their own Levitt Pavilion. Through
the Mortimer & Mimi Levitt Foundation, Levitt Pavilions is the only venture
philanthropy model of its kind, partnering with cities to provide financial assistance and a
support system to build and sustain a Levitt music venue in their area.
