As the officer arrived he saw a female pointing down the street. The officer understood that to be where the suspect was. The officer responded further up the street and discovered the suspect. The officer tried to stop the suspect with negative results. The suspect told the officer that he did not know what he was talking about. The officers requested identification from the suspect, who refused and started walking away. The officer had to grab the suspect and when he did the suspect turned as if to punch the officer. That was the wrong thing to do, the suspect found himself face down on the sidewalk and the officer attempting to cuff him. By this time several Ingleside units had arrived to assist the officer. The suspect was still resisting and Officer Morse assisted in bringing the suspects hands together for cuffing. Both victims and witnesses came forward and identified the suspect. The suspect was arrested for vandalism, resisting and delaying and damage to private property! Report number 120522471                           ****Best Arrest of the Day**** Other incidents:   6:30am       100 blk Dublin       Harassing Calls Officers Archilla prepared a report regarding harassing call incident. The victim told the officer that he has been receiving calls from a blocked number and that he believes the person calling is known to him. Report number 120522039 12:00pm     200 blk Ocean        Threats Officer Wong prepared a report regarding a threats incident. The victim told the officer that the victim said that an unknown suspect came to the business and threatened her for no reason. The victim told the officer that she wanted the report so that she can also get a Restraining Order. Report number 120520306 6:00pm       300 blk Leland       Robbery Officers Pedersen and Hom were sent to investigate a robbery case. The victim told the officers that an unknown suspect grabbed her purse and started pulling. The victim told the officers that the suspect caused her to fall. The victim told the officers that she swung her foot and kicked the suspect in the “crotch area”. The suspect stopped for a moment and then punched the victim twice on the face. The victim got mad and retaliated with two more kicks to the same area on the suspect. By this time the suspect was feeling and slowing down, when the victim heard a car and a voice from the car saying “Let’s go!” the suspect fled without the purse and lots of pain! The victim told the officers that because of an argument the known suspect threw a chair the window. The case is under investigation. When he arrived the dogs had already bitten one person and were running on the street. One dog was finally stopped by numerous officers and Animal Control. Only one was captured while the other slipped through a fence. Animal control requested the help of several officers once their supervisor had told them that the dog was a threat to public safety. Officer Hampton had opened the locked door with bolt cutters. Officer O’Connor was the first to enter with less than lethal weapons followed by Officer Yuen acting as lethal cover, ACC Officer’s Hegler and Rose, and lastly by officers Hampton, Tan and Hornstein. As the officers tried to capture the dog, it freed itself and ran while barking, it was about to attack when the officers drew their firearms to put down the dog and protect their fellow officers. After the incident Officers Tam and Yuen did a welfare check on the neighbors to find that everyone was accounted for and uninjured. Sgt. Riskin arrived on scene and took control. CSI had also come in to take custody of the evidence. Due to their training and camaraderie the officers were able to stop a public threat and prevent and officer from harm. Report 120518408        4:38pm       500 blk Visitacion    Warrant Officer Morse and Archilla were patrolling the 500 block of Visitacion Ave. they recognized a male suspect with an active warrant they exited the vehicle and proceeded to arrest the man, he was brought back to Ingleside station where the warrant was confirmed and the male was convicted. Report 120518436 6:30pm       Crocker Amazon Park     Dog Bite/Attack Officers Padilla and Sullivan answered a call regarding a dog bite in Crocker Amazon Park. The victim had been walking his dog when a German Sheppard ran toward the victims dog, in an attempt to save his dog the victim picked his dog up, the German Sheppard proceeded to attack the dog in its owner’s hands but instead bite the victim on the left index finger, the dog then returned to its owner. The victim went to the owner and got his information. SFFD had come to the scene with an ambulance for the victim. The officers then proceeded to the address that was given to the victim and talked to the owner, after the officers heard the story they cited the owner for an unprovoked dog attack as well as it being off leash. Report 120518759 6:39pm       Mission/Geneva            Warrant/Resisting Peace Officer Duties Officer’s Padilla and Seavey were on patrol, they saw two male subjects sitting inside a MUNI shelter. As they proceeded they saw a female subject wearing promiscuous clothing walking with a male subject, they appeared as if to enter a parked vehicle. As the officers continued patrolling they came back to the bus shelter and saw the two male subjects still present even though a bus had passed, the officers were suspicious that these men may have been looking for potential victims to rob. As they kept patrolling the two male subjects and the female subject had met up, the officers had them speaking about money. The officers then proceeded to see if the female was loitering with the purpose of prostitution. The group was asked to stand next to a wall one of the male suspects resisted and Officer Seavey began to arrest him. After a brief altercation the male was arrested and was revealed to have an active warrant. The other male subject fled on foot he is described as being a black male, 20 years old, light skinned, short black hair and wearing all black clothing. After the male was arrested the female was also arrested, when several Ingleside officers arrived at the scene. No officers sustained any injuries. Report 120518787       Other incidents:   11:55am     1500 blk Church          Stalking Officer Bernard responded to a call about a male being stalked. According to the man the restaurant he works at is receiving threats and protests for the use of Foie Gras. The employee stated that as he drove home a Black Ford Explorer had been following him for some time the driver and passenger had been photographing his car and license plate. Report 120518107 1:45pm       500 blk Amazon           Robbery Officer’s Padilla and Sullivan answered a call about a home invasion. The victim was in his residence when four male suspects forcibly entered their way into his home. They are described as a Filipino male, a Hispanic male wearing an olive/green sweatshirt, another Hispanic male and a White male. The four suspects ransacked the house but nothing was determined stolen and the victim was not injured. Report 120518185 1:45pm       Precita/Alabama           Theft Officer Duffin reported to Precita Park. A woman and her family had been looking for parking in the area but when they could not find any the woman decided to offload her family as well as her bag. She found parking further away where she was met by her family without the bag. When they went back to look for it, it had disappeared the female had told the officer that she had noticed a black male approximately 40-50 years old with shoulder length dreadlocks sitting by the area she had tried to originally park in and when they returned he was gone. Officer Duffin proceeded to search the area for the suspect but did not find him. Report 120517949 2:00pm       Unit blk Addison          Harassing Calls Officer Duffin proceeded to a residence in response to harassing phone calls. The victim had received several calls from a blocked number; the victim stated that she did not feel threatened at any time. Report 120517682 9:00pm       4000 blk Mission          Burglary Officer Tam reported to a burglary call. Officer Tam conducted an interview with the victim and found that 3 Bicycles and 1 Bicycle trailer had been stolen from the victim’s garage. Officer Tam found no forced entry points, the lock which had been used for one of the bikes was cut but no fingerprints were found.  CSI was not notified due to lack of evidence. The officers spoke to the victim and learned that the victim was on their way home when they noticed a suspect following. The victim told the officers that the suspect kept pace and that he crossed over and stood in front of her. The suspect put the victim in a bear hug but did not say anything. The victim began to yell for help and “Stop”. The victim told the officers that she struck the suspect on the throat which caused the suspect to let go of her, at the same time two unidentified witnesses came to the aid of the victim. The suspect fled the area. The victim told the officers that she would be able to identify the suspect if she saw him again. Apparently the suspect left there and was involved in another incident where he was arrested. When the victim gave the officers the description, they noticed that it matched the description of a suspect that was detained by other Ingleside officers on similar circumstances.  A cold show was conducted and as soon as the victim saw the suspect she nearly jumped out of the back seat “That’s him, that’s him!”  She yelled to the officers.  The officers had the suspect! Because the officers close attention to details, they were able to match up descriptions from a different case that turned out to be part of their own! Another criminal in jail charged with five felonies! Because of the nature of this case there is no report number listed.                                             ****Best Arrest of the Day****                         Other incidents:   2:30pm       2900 blk Diamond        Fraud Police Services Aide Heckenberg-Tognozzi prepared a report regarding a fraud incident. The victim told the PSA that he received a call from his bank informing him that someone was attempting to make charges in New York. The victim also told the PSA that he got an email from someone trying to open bank accounts in his name. The bank told the victim to make a police report. Report number 120515131 6:00pm       100 blk Sears                Shooting into Dwelling Officer Pai was sent to investigate a complaint that someone shot into a home. The officer met with the victim who told the officer that he was on vacation and that when he got home he discovered 13 bullet holes through the front window. The victim does not have any enemies or a reason why anyone would do this to his home. Report number 120515034 12:01am     4000 blk Castro            Fraud Police Services Aide Heckenberg-Tognozzi prepared a report regarding a fraud case. The victim told the PSA that a home care provider had been charging her the wrong amount and also discovered that the suspect may not even be working for the company she had told her. The loss is over $11,600 in a 9 week period. Report number 120515125          12:30am     Unit blk Otsego             Vandalism Officer Tam responded to a vandalism incident. The victim told the officer that he parked his car in his driveway and that when he checked on the car the next morning the entire right side of the vehicle had been scratched. There were no suspects observed. Report number 120515084 1:37am       400 blk Cortland          Vandalism Officer Hauscarriague was sent to investigate a vandalism incident. The victim was at work when she told the officer that unknown suspects walked in and began throwing eggs at her. Then quickly ran out. 2 other victims told the officer that a short time later they were smoking outside the same place when four suspects crossed the street and began throwing eggs at them as well. One of the victims ran after the suspects but lost them. There is surveillance of the incident. report number 1205142337 8:45pm       800 blk Prague             Arson Officers Cassinelli and Pereira were sent to meet with the SFFD on a suspected arson. The Firefighter told the officers that there had been a fire alarm at the location. When the SFFD made a walk through they discovered that someone had started a fire on the second floor of this building and then extinguished it with an extinguisher. The SFFD felt this to be suspicious and deemed it to be arson. The case has been assigned to an arson investigator. Report number 120516452 4:55pm       Maynard/Craut            Theft/Person Officer Archilla was dispatched to a theft call. The officer met with a witness who saw the victim calling for help. The witness told the officer that he saw the victim yelling and possible suspects running from the scene. By the time the officer located the victim other ingleside officers had detained possible suspects without a victim. The officer’s identified the suspects and wrote a report. The victim’s property was located and returned. This case is still open and under investigation. Report number 120515915 6:05pm       600 blk Andover           Battery Officers Pereira and Cassinelli were sent to investigate a battery case. The victim told the officer that two suspects walked into his store and walked out without paying for an item. The victim followed the suspects outside and grabbed one of the suspects by the shirt. The suspect punched the victim in the face.  The officers spoke to the suspects that were still there. The suspects told the officers that they went into the store and paid for everything and were followed outside by the victim. The suspects told the officers that he punched the victim only after the victim had manhandled him for no reason. The victim refused to file a complaint because he realized he could have made a mistake. Both parties were released and a report of the incident generated. June 29, 2012 Posted: 05 Jul 2012 01:05 PM PDT Incident Date: Sunday, June 29th 2012 Remember that you can register your bicycles at: http://www.inglesidepolicestation.com/bike-registration Arrests: 2:29am       Geneva/Naples              DUI Officers Jones and McCall were patrolling the district when they noticed a van cut off a taxi when it turned left causing the taxi to come to a screeching stop. The officers followed the van in an attempt to stop it. The officers pulled the van over and approached the driver. The officer immediately observed that the driver had bloodshot eyes. The driver was having problems following the officers’ instructions as well. The officer could also smell that the driver had been drinking. The officer then requested for the driver to submit to a Field Sobriety Test as mandated by state law.  The driver could not pass any of the tests and was placed under arrest. His license was suspended and he was booked for driving under the influence. Ingleside officers arrest a drunk driver before he causes any damage or injuries. Report 120511480 11:00am     600 Blk 29th                   Burglary Officer Preston responded to a burglary call after the victim had come home and witnessed a burglar fleeing from her residence. Officer Preston along with other Ingleside officers had responded to the area where a man fitting the description of the suspect had been seen. The officers set up a perimeter and proceeded with a yard to yard search. After a long search the suspect was found inside a laundry room attempting to hide and was arrested. As he was being arrested Captain Mahoney confirmed that this was the correct suspect in the burglary. The stolen property was recovered and given back to the victim, it totaled $7450. An inspection of the victim’s house showed that there were no signs of forced entry. Upon further inspection more items were found to be missing and CSI was contacted and will respond to process the crime scene. Due to Captain Mahoney’s experience and training even while driving around the district he was able to spot a burglary suspect, chase and eventually capture him. The fast responding Ingleside officers were able to spread a dragnet and capture this burglar cutting the Ingleside count of burglar’s down by one. Enjoy your stay at camp San Bruno!  Report 120512187                                        **** The Best Arrest of the Day**** 1:59pm       Unit Blk Brumiss         Warrant/Arrest Officer Hurwitz had been conducting an investigation on a property that is regarded as a place for criminal activity. While she was in the area Officer Hurwitz spoke with residents that had expressed their concerns about the location she was investigating. As Officer Hurwitz was speaking with a man 2 other officers had arrived to assist Officer Hurwitz, as she was still speaking with the man she witnessed two male subjects quickly cross the street, one of which had been recognized by Officer Hurwitz from prior surveillance of the premise. Officer Trujillo then made contact with both subjects, as he approached, one of them began reaching for something, which was considered to be a concealed weapon, however due to the officers training he ordered the subject to put his hands in the air, at which point it was determined to be a large knife. Officer Trujillo kept searching the subject to find a total of 4 knives 3 of which are considered prohibited. Both subjects had outstanding warrants, coming to a total of five and being in excess of $60,000. Due to the vigilance and training of the officers they were able to detain the subjects and make the area safer. Report 120512563 Other incidents:   6:00pm       400 Blk Day                  Vehicle Tampering Officer Morrow answered a call dealing with tampered vehicles. When he arrived he spoke with one of the victims, she stated that she had locked her car the previous night and when she left her house she saw the doors open and that someone had been through her belongings, however nothing was reported stolen. Other vehicles on the same block had been treated in a similar manner with no signs of forced entry, broken glass, or damaged locks. No suspects were observed. Report 120512507 8:00pm       900 Blk Geneva            Threats Officers Khan and Dilag had reported to a call about threats to an employee of a business. The victim had been assisting a patron with their order when the subject reached across the counter to open a heated display case containing Buffalo wings, the victim had told the subject that he needed to pay for those, the suspect then became belligerent and made a threat to the victim. The suspect was described as a black male adult, between the ages of 25 and 28, approximately 5’9” in height weighing approximately 145 lbs., with short black hair that came down to his ears, brown eyes and a white colored t-shirt. The entire exchange was recorded on the stores surveillance camera. The footage will be picked up and used as evidence.  Report 120513696 10:00pm     200 Blk Drake              Vandalism Police Services Aide Flynn assisted the victim of car vandalism when he arrived at Ingleside station. The car’s windshield was cracked, the right wiper was bent and the rubber wipe had been torn. The victim did not see anyone damage the vehicle. Report 120513652 10:30pm     Unit Blk Excelsior        Burglary Officer Morrow responded to a call regarding a burglary. He spoke with the victim whose laptop and cell phone had been stolen the previous night. The items had been on the victim’s nightstand with a window slightly open next to the nightstand. There were no signs of forced entry.
