Greetings friends of Rex and the Tanimoto family,

This announcement just in from Mike Matsuno, on behalf of the Tanimoto family:

The Tanimoto Family would like to invite friends and family to a special "Celebration of Life" Memorial Service for Rex Tanimoto which will be held at Kaneohe Bay on Thursday, March 17 at 15:30 (3:30 pm) in Hawaii.  The short service will be held at the boat launch at Windward Sea Yacht Charters which is at He'eia Boat Harbor, the address is 46-499 Kamehameha Hwy (About a mile or mile and a half north of Windward Mall).   After the short service and due to the size of the boat, just the family will take the boat out to scatter Rex's ashes out over the bay.  After they return to the boat dock, please join the family for an informal gathering for dinner at the Joyful Garden in the Windward City Shopping Center at 45-480 Kaneohe Bay Drive.  If you have any questions, Susan Soken (Mike Matsuno's sister) is helping make the arrangements, her cell phone number in Hawaii is (808) 542-0088 or her email is sso...@fhb.com  Please pass on the word to anyone who might be interested in attending.  RSVP to Kayo Tanimoto:  karir...@zeus.eonet.ne.jp

Please feel free to pass this on to any friends or family who are not on this announcement list.

With warm wishes,
Steven (Nishida)

Thank you so much for sending this invitation.  I would love to come, it would be an honor to meet the family, see Kayo and the girls, and Rex's buds.  I will send a note to Kayo and the girls.  I hope there will be photos that will be shared.  I have Rex's goofy "escape" photo, 8X10, on my bulletin board in front of me every single day.  I have his "tattooed" beautiful bald head photo in a frame on my desk.  Yes:  Live for others!

My very best to you.  What you're doing, Steven, has been and continues to be something that isn't easy, is time consuming, but also comes from your heart.  You're a good man.  Again, thanks.
Bobbie
