Guys,

Could you please review the draft website again? www.philbear.org/home
T-shirts can be bought in a window after buying tickets or sponsorships.

Please reply with any suggestions on this thread only. I'll filter everything for Scott; it's easier for him that way.

Jamie, as soon as you have an "About Phil" section drafted, send it to me.

I suggest we have this site up and open to the public in the next day or so.

All the best,
Adrian

Ok

I think Brent's mom and dad should both review about Phil section before we post ... Even if we have to add this section later

I can send it to them and follow up with a phone call after work.
However, if this will take a while, I suggest we go live and put the obituary narrative on there for the time being.

Brent "Phil" McGill was an amazing optimist and always looked positively at every situation. With his indomitable spirit, he taught others how to live life to the fullest.
Phil graduated with honors from Athens Academy in 2003 and cum laude from the University of Georgia in 2011 as a Chi Phi Fraternity member. He enjoyed poker, traveling, and spending time with his family and friends.

You are captain of this ship... I'm trying to write now.   Hopefully can spit out quick but editing process may take a little time... I say you plan on going live with what we already have and we change out when done with this.  What I have will be long so we will probably have to cut down... Although if this is going to be permanent website the about section should encompass a lot

On that note, should we consider adding Paul and nancy to group so they can stay informed with what we are talking about? The last thing we want is them in the dark - I could go either way on this one though

I agree; it can be long if it is good, right?

As far as mundane organizational matters are concerned, I don't think that we should flood Paul or Nancy's inbox with it. However, I do think they should be kept up to speed of the planning progress. I'll call Paul either after work today or tomorrow during my layover to Germany.

I'm finally taking the part of Phil's ashes he designated for the Alps to their final resting place... probably overlooking Lake Lucerne. I hope it'll be sunny, so that we can take some post-worthy pictures of the affair.

Quick update from my end: Went on Facebook and on my profile as well as the official Phil-Anthropy page, posted a little reminder about shirt designs, asked them to be in by August 3rd (I know later than we originally planned but that's still plenty of time), and also noted that the person whose design is chosen will receive one of the shirts for free.  I also sent out a personal email to a few people I know are good at that kind of thing.  If you guys know of anyone you'd like me to send the same email to just let me know.
