Perhaps members of the group might be interested in this.  It has nothing to do with shakespeare yet everything to do with getting out into the community and doing some good.  Just a thought.

(PLEASE FEEL FREE TO CROSS-POST AND FORWARD THIS TO THOSE WHO MIGHT BE INTERESTED.  THANK YOU!)

On February 13, 2008, the Nassau-Suffolk Coalition for the Homeless will hold a special Valentine's Eve Candlelight Vigil for the Homeless to raise awareness about the homeless and the great need for affordable housing in our area.    We will also be collecting new/unused baby items, non-perishable food and toiletries to distribute to Long Island's homeless and at risk families.

Please join us at our "Have a Heart for the Homeless" Candlelight Vigil on February 13, 2008, from 6PM – 8PM, on the Great Lawn/Plaza and Multi-purpose Room in Roosevelt Hall at Farmingdale State College.  The participation of every person who cares will make a difference.  Let us show that Long Islanders want to eradicate homelessness and hunger that exist in our affluent society.  Please wear RED!

Your group can also help by conducting drives to collect new baby items, toiletries, and non-perishable foods.  Please contact us for a kit to help you get started!

We have enclosed a flier for distribution to your group. Please feel free to make copies as needed, or contact us for more.  For more information, or to find out how you can help, please feel free to contact us at (516) 742-7770 or ggua...@nsch.org or visit www.nsch.org.  Sponsorship opportunities are available.  Please contact us for more information.

Each one of us can make a difference!
