Dear friends,

I need to make final corrections to a manuscript this week and it seems I've lost track of the page reference for a citation I use from Lemarchand's 1915 book "A Guide to Criminal Tribes." Does anyone have easy/quick access to that volume who can help me? The volume is not available anywhere in Taiwan. I just need a page number, and it is essential that I send them the corrections by the end of the week!

The quote in question is:

"Bhampta: Working in lots of three. Often disguise themselves as Marwadi or Hindu tra- ders, Lingayats, Jangam, Brahmans or shepherds. They are sometimes seen as minstrels, Sanadikorwas or Dakkhani Bhats. They are most commonly met with as Marathas. When Q2 posing as Gosains they add the suffix ‘‘das’’ to their names."

Thanks so much for your help!

Kerim

Thanks everyone who contacted me. I have found volunteers who have agreed to help me track down the reference.

Cheers,

Kerim
