Dear Laura and All,
What with this blog, you're a real techies now.
I've got a blog too, and even have (get this) tweets (short messages)
in
twitter.com
I'm so proud of you and Christine and all you're doing with our GOOD
COMMUNITY FOLKS in Batahola, so especially proud of our stalwart
Admin. Team and teachers and Jennifer.
Give them all my love, and you can be the herald to announce my coming
(and mi hermana sangria, Mary Ann and Terri) to Batahola Sept 3-8.
Can't wait. Long overdue.
Congrats on the Harvard scholarship. Perfect for you.
Keep blazing the trail of inspiring, recruiting, training volunteers
for Batahola and other places in the world.
Thanks for the update of HARD(ER) TIMES IN NICA with the food and gas
crisis (a country already in crisis). So glad you're there on the
ground with the people. IT'S THE PEOPLE ON THE GROUND THAT MAKE THE
DIFFERENCE - especially our community leaders, who carry on in season
and out of season. As psalm 80 says, "Truth springs up out of the
ground."
I knew you were the real thing when I first heard your voice on your
mama's cell phone and you decided so quickly that you'd come with me
to Nica.
Give your sweet, powerful mama my love. She started all of this.
Finishing up speaking engagements and setting my sail for writing in
Wyoming, my spiritual memoir (including Nica women stories). Leave on
June 6 - Aug 26. Willl have gmail with me, so keep in touch.
My love and prayers under your wings,
Helen
