Friends and neighbors,
Just got back from the pool. The creek is still flowing over the upstream dam but is contained in the pool and continues to recede.

They say it crested to level with the deck retaining walls around 7:00 am.

The BSP staff are in the process of rinsing off the decks and going through the motions of getting the pool back to normal.

It is amazing that even with all the chocolate milk type water coming from the creek that you can still see a sliver of clear spring flow...:)

The lower dam is a mess with a considerable amount of debris trapped on the deck.

2 years of drought accumulation stuff from upstream has now been deposited in the pool, or is heading into Ladybird Lake...:(

I looked at the USGS Real time flow data for the pool and it looked like it went from 22 cfs to a peak of 90 cfs before the data recorder broke down probably due to the flood. Not sure how accurate this is but my guess is it will not come online again till creek flow is all diverted to the bypass tunnel.

It's time to rally FBSP's volunteer forces! I will make some inquiries and keep all informed if that effort becomes a reality.

Regards,
Steve
