If you have not already heard, I am sorry to report that Big Jim Griffith passed away last night, at home, peacefully.

Got get a coffee in honor of JIm, and all of the tremendous things he did, and all of the friends he made, and the stories he saved, and told, and the music he loved so much.

Thanks for sending the message, Tom.  Big Jim and Loma were such good friends to your folks.  My memories of Big Jim were mostly in conjunction with Tom Sr., but I vividly remember dancing the polka with Jim in front of God and everybody else at one Tucson Meet Yourself; his chin basically was on top of my head.  I don't think my feet touched the ground.  Exhilarating and embarrassing at the same time. There's a hole in Tucson's heart.
