[Friends And Fairways]

Thanks to all the folks who commented on the future of the Friends and Fairways golf group.  There seems to be a general consensus to keep the group going, but pared back due to costs and crowds.  

With that in mind, we thought a good resolution would be to keep our general Saturday late-morning framework for one weekend a month, rather than all weekends, and limit our play to the cooler months between September and April.  That way, we can choose more upscale courses for our more limited weekend outings without breaking the bank. 

We can try this on a trial basis until the summer, then decide if we want to keep the framework for the fall and winter.  Implementing this requires volunteers for January, February, March and April.  Each volunteer would choose one Saturday in the requested month, arrange for three or four tee times by Monday before the Saturday play day, forward the information for me to circulate on that Monday, handle the requests to play, and monitor (or delegate) attendance at the actual play date.  Just like now.  Let's see how this works and revise as needed later.
