Is it possible to list out the step by step process along with an
expected timeline?
Is CIP150/ 500 open for applications at all time, or is it based on
tranches?
Basically, I want to start as soon as possible and not be "slowed" by
the application process... Of course, if there's "free" money...

It is always available for online application. The next deadline is 30 Apr. They approved pretty fast for my project though. and the grant is on disburment claim basis. Means you have to pay your bill first then claim.

Good share, Karsin.

Personally, I wish that we can create a project together with the friends in
the groups. The interesting part is, we have 50 more startup and
enterpreneurs to back this project up. With half a millon grant, this seed
funding should be more than enough to mobilize it big.

I am interested to go into projects like

Payment (paypal... etc...)
Escrow (escrow services...)
Car pool...
.. anything else?

We r kinda stuck between 150 and 500, coz technically we r still in development stage, and 500 r for those almost completing or has completed their prototype. However having said that, we r simultaneously developing and commercializing whatever we hv at the same time...so....hmmm...

We are going for CIP 500 for Coconect, I hear it actually takes 6 mths to get it approved...yikes! 

Our pre-seed ends in End Aug! N i just realized we r in Q4 now, double yikes!

Do u reckon we should go for both CIP150 and CIP 500? 150 is faster and less complicated I heard. 

Now, we r cepat cepat full speed develop. Exciting. 

Quick tx again to all those who helped us in our Pre-seed application, Pin, Keng Yew, Mike, Avit, George...sorry if i missed out anyone ya. 

Q: Do we have to pay back the amount received?
A: Yes. As CIP 500 is a conditional grant, the company will be required to pay back the amount disbursed in the event there is a breach of the CIP 500 Advancement Agreement or it achieves success. In the instance of:

• Breach of the CIP 500 Advancement Agreement - the company will be required to pay back the amount disbursed inclusive of 4% administrative charges per annum;
• Success - the company will be required to pay back 50% of the funding amount inclusive of 4% administrative charges per annum

I think both are the same.

I did email CIP in the past and no reply from them at all. Well, not
surprise anyhow. It happens to most of our beloved
huge-and-never-reply-email-corporation like MDec and AirAsia :)
