Sunday July 10th and the Joyride to the Sixties!

My presentation this Sunday will be about "The Beatles". In this
three-hour (or so) gathering you will find answers to questions like:
"Who were the Beatles? (Duh!)", "What's so special them?", "What's the
secret to their immortality?", and whatever stupid questions you might
have!! ;)
This will not merely be a biography or an aesthetic anlaysis of their
music... My talk will cover all of those PLUS a brief glance at
history, an analysis of the social and political situation of the time,
and many things that may directly or indirectly relate to what made the
Beatles, THE BEATLES!
Feel free to bring guests with you. DO NOT FORGET to send me an email
or gimme a call or something no later than Saturday, so that I know
approximately how many of you there'll be. This gathering will be held
at my place at:
53 Stately Way, Thornhill, ON L3T 3Z9 (Do the map thing yourself! I'm
sure you can. Plus who doesn't know where that is anyways?!)
Please keep checkin your email though, just in case there are any
changes to the plans. (If there are any, I will try my best to make
sure y'all are informed.)
I don't have a laptop computer this week (it's at Dell Service Depot as
I speak!) So forgive me in advance for possibly delayed responses. But
I WILL be checking my email multiple times everyday.
What else?... Errr... That's all I guess. Oh, bring blank CDs if you
want to get a copy of my Beatles' favorites some tracks of which you
will listen to on Sunday. :)
And finally, if there is any time left, I will do a VERY brief
introduction to "The Rollingstones", as they have a very interesting
contrast to their contemporary counterpart: The Beatles.
You know how you guys always say your presentation will take 10 minutes
and you end up talking for 3 hours?! Ok, I'm telling you now: I NEED
THE FULL THREE HOURS AT LEAST!! There's a LOT I want to talk about.
PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE show up on time, i.e. 6:00 PM SHARP. (Once
again: I WILL START AT 6:00 PM, no matter what! Even if there's only me
and myself in the house!!!) You really don't want to miss out on any
parts of this! (Yes, I believe it's that good! Hopefully! :P)

Since I have not received any e-mails regarding this Sunday (not even
one), the gathering will be called off (i.e. CANCELLED) if there are no
e-mails by tomorrow evening. Perhaps it's a good idea not to put things
off to the last minute.
Preferrably send e-mails to far...@gmail.com, since my other email
addresses don't seem to be too reliable. Also if any of you HAVE sent
me an email already which I have not received, please notify me
somehow, and I apologize in advance in such case.

With thanks to the few who e-mailed me, the presentation this Sunday
WILL be held. I'll be looking forward to receiving more emails until
Sunday. I know there are going to be individuals who don't email but
will attend. You are more than welcome to join us, and I'd LOVE to have
more of you guys attending just because it's such an awesome
presentation! The more the merrier, like they say. But this issue will
be dealt with during this next meetup. We need to learn to be more
organized.
