The Dickens

Start time: Friday, 06 March 2009 7:00 PM

Well, who knew their London town better than Mr Charles Dickens? He often went for 20 mile walks and imagine the mileage he would've done if he had a bike. A bit like the Jack The Ripper tour, you'll find yourself standing in front of a modern building with, 'this is the site where....' but at least we'll be able to visit some pubs that Dickens used to frequent. Meet at the The George Inn (London's only surviving galleried coaching inn) - off the Borough High Street from 6:30pm for a 7:00pm start. Food also available at The Grapes on Narrow Street later on.The ride's about 17miles long and we'll finish at 'Ye Olde Cheshire Cheese' on Fleet Street. Hang onto yer hankies !
