Meet the Fleet Regatta - Sunday July 24th

The Tiller Club invites regular Friday Night racers to the Meet the Fleet regatta in mercuries on Sunday, July 24th!

This regatta is designed to welcome skippers who have been doing informal racing at CBI and have been wanting to try formal racing with Tiller Club on Sundays. We aim to have a big fleet, with both our regular Sunday and 'new-to-Sunday' skippers all out together, so it should be a lot a fun. There will be one or two 'coach boats' on the water to give people tips. We will have trophy glasses for the top novice* skippers as well as for the top boats overall.

*novice meaning relatively new to Sunday racing - if you've already skippered once or twice on Sundays, this is still for you!

Skippers should have the appropriate flag rating for the day, know how to sail with a jib, and roughly know the racing rules of sailing, but we are not requiring the Racing Skippers rating. Two people per boat: anyone can crew! If you are a 'new-to-Sundays' skipper and looking for crew or a co-skipper, come down to Friday night informal racing to meet up and practice.

Entry Fee: $5 per boat

9:30am - Rigging starts

9:45-10:15am - Registration is open

10:15am - Skippers' Meeting

We will race until about 2:30 (no race starts after 2:30) with a short break for lunch and to rotate boats.
