Dreaming of running (sort of)

Hey all,

 

Well, a portion of the Frick Park Running team represented at trivia night tonight and finished a very respectable 5th place out of approximately 20 teams; nice job Brian, Wes, and Natalie!! ;)

 

For tomorrow's run, I'm thinking we're going to do 5 miles, but...we're going to cut through Frick towards the lawn bowling part, past Point Brugge (near MaryRose/Laird's place) and run around Mellon Park and then back. Also, bring a clean shirt, a few bucks, and your thirst for a couple of cold ones as we hit Ryan's (?) afterwards. Hope y'all can make it!

 

Oh, and I was speaking with my match counselor at Big Brothers, and they are actually seeking to sponsor runners for the upcoming 2010 marathon. I mentioned our club, and Kristine (that's her name) suggested that BBBS might be able to help us out. We didn't get into specifics, but I'm thinking it could involve them either making a cash/or in-kind donation towards the team's entry. Will keep ya' posted...

 

Lastly, my esteemed buddy, and brilliant designer, Sean Barr, is busy working on the t-shirt logo, isn't that right Sean? The shirts are going to be awesome. See ya' tomorrow @ 6:30 pm!!
