Pasta Dinner Saturday Night?

Hey everyone,

I mentioned this to Mary Rose when I ran into her (no pun intended) last weekend... I was thinking of getting a pre-marathon pasta dinner at Alexander's Italian Bistro in Bloomfield this Saturday night.  They have really good pasta, and I think it would be cool to have some sort of Frick Park Running Club get-together before the marathon.  Let me know if you're interested!

Great idea! (MR mentioned it to me last week.)

 

Just tossing something else out there, too. What if some of us met up for a pre-race drink Thurs. night at Sharp Edge? The reason I mention this is because I know Wes can't make Sat's dinner, because he's running in Cinncy. This way Wes, and whomever else, can make Thurs. Plus, there'll be some time before the pre-face jitters hit ;-)

I've already heard from a few people, but if you are interested in joining us for dinner Saturday, please let me know by Thursday so I can call in a reservation.  I am probably going to make it for 7 or 7:30pm, so that we get to carb-load later in the evening.  I'll send everyone an email Friday or so to confirm.

Garrett and I were talking about heading over to Sharp Edge around 9:30pm.  Anyone who wants to join us to watch The Office at 9pm is welcome to come over to my place, which is literally about 4 blocks from Sharp Edge.  Just email or call me if you need directions.

I'm meeting up at Dave's (in Friendship) for some Office and then I'm going to head over to Sharp Edge around 10 pm for anybody that wants to join us for a little Prefontaine tradition - always drink before the race! (Of course we're not him, so we're going to drink a few days before because we're just mere mortals.)

Sorry to send this out to everyone, but I just wanted to let all the pasta eaters know that we have reservations for 7:30pm at Alexander's in Bloomfield tomorrow night.  There are 14 of us total, and apparently they are cool with that... maybe it's the Italian heritage?  If you emailed me or talked to me last night, you're on the list.
